This article analyzes the challenges and needs in mental health care for the LGBTIQ+ population in Mexico, highlighting the role of social determinants of health and minority stress in the increase of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. Deliberative bioethics is emphasized as a tool to foster participatory processes for identifying needs, decision-making, and the formulation of public policies in mental health. Finally, it underscores the need for intersectional, participatory, and inclusive approaches to ensure equitable and specialized care that strengthens community resilience.
